AT THE SCIENCE FAIR..! (yeah that's all I know)

Hey guys! So right now it is a very special time of year.. The Science Fair. Whoop dee doo (props to cheeba). No, but really, the science fair is okayyy. Like, not terrible, but not great, or fantastic, or any other synonym you can think to describe good things. Anyways, this year I asked the question "Which Hair Dye Stays In the Longest?". Yeah, kinda boring, but still a cool project in my opinion :) So I started out by buying my materials.

The first thing I had to buy was 100% real blonde human, which was really creepy. Like, REALLY creepy. The next thing we had to buy was the hair dye, and I bought Nice n' Easy, ColorSilk (aka the WORST working hair dye in the history of the universe).

Clairol Nice 'N Easy Permanent Hair Color, Natural Radiant Auburn 112B

  MATERIALS:

-       Garnier Nutrisse hair dye in Medium Intense Auburn
-       Clairol Nice n’ Easy hair dye in Radiant Aubrun
-       Revlon ColorSilk hair dye in Burgundy
-       100% blonde human hair put into four sections
-       Shampoo for colored hair
-       A hairdryer

After I bought my materials, I  made my hypothesis.

HYPOTHESIS:

If I test out Garnier Nutrisse natural hair dye, Revlon ColorSilk (ammonia free), and Clairol Nice and Easy (has ammonia)on blonde human hair, than Clairol Nice and Easy hair dye will stay the longest because it has ammonia, a key ingredient to making hair dye stay through 10+ washes.

I know, pretty long, but I wanted to get my point across. The next thing I had to do was... well, actually do the experiment.

PROCEDURE:

So I took my hair segments and I followed the directions to dye the hair. Then, I washed the hair over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over,  and over,  and over,  and over,  and over. That's right, TEN TIMES! It took soooo long. Did I mention I had to blow dry and take pictures of the hair each time? But even though it took a long time, I'm glad I found my answer, which was...

                 Me scrubbing hair

                 Me pouring hair dye

                               10th wash close-ups

CONCLUSION:

Well, After I tested out the hair, it turns out the Garnier Nutrisse worked the best! The hair afterward was so red after even ten washes and it was really soft! So that won easily out of the three hair segments. I'm really happy with the turnout of my project and that I actually won third place! Yay! Now for the funny pictures.
Okay... So this is actually pretty funny. You see how he's so depressed that he won? I don't know why but cheeba and I were just laughing so hard at how sad this kid looked. Then halfway I realized she was girl... which is actually pretty easy to tel so now I look even more blonde than usual. So, yeah... sorry Emily. I feel really bad now. But girl or boy this is still hilarious.
